How to Plan a Trip Using Saved Links
October 2, 2026 · 6 min read · By the Link Link team
Trip planning usually means weeks of collecting: a blog post about hidden beaches, a restaurant a friend recommended, three hotel options, a train timetable. Keeping all of it in one organized place makes the trip itself far less stressful.
Create one tag per trip
Start with a single tag such as 'lisbon-2027'. Every link related to the trip gets it, no matter what kind of page it is. Filtering by that tag instantly shows everything you have gathered.
Add type tags for quick decisions
Layer on a few type tags: 'stay', 'eat', 'see', 'getting-around'. When you are choosing a hotel, filter by the trip and 'stay'. When you are hungry in a new neighborhood, filter by the trip and 'eat'.
Use notes to compare options
For hotels and tours, write the details you will compare: price per night, neighborhood, cancellation policy, and what reviews praised or complained about. Seeing those notes side by side makes decisions much faster than reopening every tab.
For restaurants and sights, note who recommended it and why. 'Maria says get the custard tarts here, go early' is more useful than a bare address.
Keep it useful after you return
When you are home, add a quick verdict to the places you visited. The next time a friend asks for recommendations, or you go back yourself, you will have a personal travel guide ready to share.
